Happy New Year from Bali
If you have been following these posts you might know that we started travel in Ecuacdor at the end of September 2018. Although i had hoped to keep you up to date on our travels the barriers of time, wifi access, and the craziness of travel has got me a bit behind in posting.
So I’d like to catch you up to the now, 1/1/19, in Bali,Indonesia… and maybe back-fill some of our other experiences through Ecuador, Chile, and Australia in future posts.
We are in Nusa Penida, which is an Island off just off Bali. There are some of the most beautiful views here. And as you know, if you are a parent, kids are interested in views for about 10 seconds, less if it is hot. And it does get pretty hot here. So the first part of the day was a bit rough. It ended well with an amazing sunset playing on the beach and eating some grilled fish with some of the local people celebrating New Years.
Happy New Year to you all! Create the 2019 and the life you love!
All of these pictures were taken on New Years Eve 12/31/18
Klingking Beach. The T-rex of Nusa Penida. One of the most beautiful beaches here, but not if you have kids that do not want to hike 40 min down treacherous stairs.

The awesome coast line here
Broken Beach
No fences, just a shear drop down to the rocks or shallow waters below
Sunset at Crystal Beach. Finally, a chance to play and go swimming! We built a few moats and walls, but never got to the actual sand castle.
The fish here is really good. These locals grilled up some tasty fish for New Year’s Eve and set me up with a taste too. Of course you need to have a bit of the chopped onions and hot peppers to get the full experience.
Such a beautiful place to spend New Year’s
Have a wonderful new start to the year!
