Historic Quito, A parade in Ecuador

Cathy took us to the historic part of Quito one afternoon. We had no idea what to expect. Turns out that there was an amazing parade in progress just as we arrived. There were dancers, characters, music, and joy that went on forever. These beautifully dressed dancers kept up their dancing on cobble stoned street for blocks and blocks. My favorite parts were brilliant colors, smiles, and joy flowing out from the streets. I also enjoyed watching the men dance together is a long energetic line and the women joining together in their own dance, then both groups coming together to partner up and continue their dance together.
